Hoover Dam Factoid

Did you know that the Hoover Dam was first known as the Boulder Dam in Black Canyon on the Colorado River? Boulder Dam was the name during the planning and construction stages. It wasn't until 1947 when Harry S. Truman signed a congressional resolution that it gained its official name.
